Cheatham County's Highest Circulated Local Newspaper!

History

The I-24 Exchange was created and started in June 2000, by Dale McCarver in Pleasant View. Dale’s brother, Kerry R. McCarver took over operation and editing duties in September 2000 and the paper has hit the streets every week with Cheatham County news and events.

Initial circulation was 5,000 homes with direct mail concentrated in the Pleasant View area. The paper has now expanded to a weekly print run of over 12,000 with mailbox saturation in most Ashland City, Chapmansboro, Joelton and Cedar Hill boxes that deliver into Cheatham County.

The I-24 Exchange began as a home-based business, but in October 2004 moved to the renovated building at 1118 Main Street in downtown Pleasant View. The building was constructed in 1917 for The Town Bank that went under in 1931 during the depression. The building was home of the Pleasant View Post Office from 1939 to 1966.

The paper began in a tab format with 16 pages each week. The growth of the paper and the addition of local sports coverage with Lawrence Gunnells in August 2005 have the paper up to 32 pages and growing with the Town of Pleasant View.
